I was wondering because i recently had ordered and put mine together and now it is coming down to picking out wheels for it. I know the width i want is about 10.5" wide by 20" rims in the back. I have extended rear fenders in the back so i can fit wider tires and give it that street rod look. So i guess my question is " What backspace and offset would i need for my wheels?" From the front of the rotor on the rear to the frame is about 5 3/4". I have never really had to order wheels without a set of originals in front of me before | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 | You best bet is to get under there with a measuring tape and straight edge with the truck at ride height and the box on to figure out your backspace to get the look you want. I always want to get the wheel as far out as possible to make the fenderwell look full, but the look you're after will affect your backspace. Also have a look at what wheels you want and what the standard backspace is on wheels of that size and style.
I have 15x10" wheels with 3-3/4" backspacing on the back of my '46, but that's also with stock fenders and an S-10 rear end, and the box is tubbed.
