The only model I can find is the red top 850/6 which seems to be the one to use. Who has the best price currently? I've searched the net and the best I can find is $125 with free shipping. Anyone find it cheaper??
Thanks, Steve | | |

I wanted to buy one for my 52 but it was too long to fit. I would have had to grind off the rivets and move the brackets to widen the tray. Too much hassle so I bought a regular battery. Then again I have no idea if yours is under the floor like an A.D. Curt B.

This is the best battery I have ever bought. When my 97 GMC needs another battery, I am going to get an Optima for it too. | | |

Did you have to make a special holdown bracket for your Optima? Since it is not as wide as a regular battery and you put it diagonally, it seems like it would move around.

My truck is set up for a 12 volt system so, of course, I'll need a different battery than what you have used. Thanks, again! Joe

I also run an Optima battery in my truck and I am 12 volt. It fit the battery tray perfectly but I had to make a hold down bracket to keep it in place.
Optimas are great batteries.
