I made some mirror brackets tonight that I think I like. Used 1/2" rod and rolled them to have an arch. Used the top hinge bolt and drilled two other holes above the window on the door.

Seems to match the lines of the truck ok....

I LIKE that design! i LIKE the way you brought the two (top-door),brackets together,eliminating the need for a stabilizer-bar! Looks like something a "big truck",(I.E.) White,I.H.C., Diamond T.,etc,would have used,(different mirror-head,of course),for that time-period. Nice job!

It looks like a twist on the set up that came on my 40 coe. I haven't filled the two holes in the top of my driver side door yet. I think you just gave me an idea for my coe.

Great job! Looks good. I have just removed the (farmers mirrors) from mine: The long rectanglar ones with a bunch of rods. My truck looks smaller now. I would like some opnions on what to do. Im keeping it all original and would like other opinions as to whether I should keep them or do something like RDomeck?

Mc Master number 9208T36. $18 each. I guess I went withe the rectangle ones because that is what was on it. I didn't really find a round one that I liked and I order from McMaster daily so it seemed an easy choice!

I maybe had two hours total in making these and I could always scerw on another mirror head if I find one I like better.
