I need master cylinder, all wheel cylinders, all brake shoes, hardware kit.

All that's on the truck are the drums. All other brake parts are gone.

Any recommendations to buy a total brake kit. I'm staying with drums all around. Possibly upgrade master cylinder.

check your nearest NAPA, should all be listed, but you won't find a "kit" for complete stock brakes, the items come individually or sets per wheel or front/back - some of the e-brake pieces might be hard to find if that's all missing .... also an 'upgraded' MC will be another individual item that will require it's own bits to adapt to the truck

Find a late 70's early 80's Camaro/Trans Am rear (they are the right width) with a good ratio. Put a disc brake kit on the front with a new dual pot MC under the floor and save the trouble of finding used parts. Going this route will also give you 5-lug wheels.

Parts for your truck are readily available. Local Napa as suggested is a good place to start. Also LMC and some others that specialize in parts for these old trucks can help.

Stock brakes maintained properly work quite well for a stock truck. If pulling a load always allow more stopping time regardless of what braking system you have.

Or you can put disc up front, drum on back, or disc all the way around.

My 58 has stock braking system on it and stops the truck as well as my VW with disc brakes. The big disadvantage is if you break a hose or line and lose your fluid you have no brakes. Also the disc brakes cool quicker and aren't quite as prone to brake fade from heat.

But I can lock the wheels on my truck as well as I can a car with disc brakes. Just allow a little more stopping time for the sake of it. Once you're used to how they work, you'll be fine.

Im planning on keeping the brake system original with 6 lug hubs right now.

So i'm looking into drum brakes front and rear, possibly getting a dual master cylinder.

Does this dual master cylinder seem like a good upgrade and would work with drum brakes? Thanks-
