They run from the pass side of the engine around the front of the motor to the drivers side and to the oil housin. It would be at least 100 times better than a carburetor. The oiling system would have nothing to do with whether or not the engine has injection or a carburetor. You should post pictures so anyone can get an idea of what you are talking about. I'm pretty sure you should just leave the oiling alone. Because you obviously aren't familiar with the specific workings of it. Unless of course you feel inclined to study your engine and make appropriate modifications, which unless you are racing the truck, shouldn't be messed with. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,636 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,636 | You can buy and aftermarket oil filter mount to use with the 350 block and it will be just as if there was never an oil cooler on it.
Your local parts store may have it in stock, or can get it easy enough. You will put the filter on just as you would any other 350.
The injection system is not that complicated to use if you have the whole car for the siring harness and computer. There are aftermarket computers and wiring harnesses that would allow you to keep the fuel injection in place.

| | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 22 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 22 | Thanks to all .The injection system was only partly there No harness ,computer,injectors,much of the system was no longer there, So i went carb.Ihavent worked on any chevy motors in years .I have built meny older 58-65 283,327,427, but never did anything on any of the newer motors . Most of the emisions and hoses and conections were no longer there.I assume, by what some of you have posted that the hoses i am asking about are frome the filter assembly to an oil cooler .Again as i sead there is nothing there the hosses wer cut and just sitting there.The engine i purchased came with a 700 r4 trans which i will be.Would it make sense putting in a cooler.This is just going to be a mild street engine for my 58 fleetside .Thank all of you for the help Tony | | |
