My question is Are all or most spindles universal? I ask because I want to change the hub. I want to keep the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. So can i like change to a chevy or any other hub and keep the same spindle ? | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy Project_area_51, the bolt pattern on a Chevy hub is not the same as a F@#d hub, so first you'll have to decide which bolt pattern you want. Then if you spent some time with a good partsman looking at inner and outer bearing numbers, and front hub seal numbers you'd know if the two hubs in question have at least interchangeable parts. Then there is the bearing spacing/hub width issue to deal with. If you knew for sure what year parts you were trying to interchange, you could call a wrecking yard and ask them to look the parts up in their Hollander interchange to see if the parts are interchangeable, hope that helps. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,249 "Hey!
