Have any Michigan bolter's made north of Lansing ? I am up here in the "snow belt" known as Vanderbilt which is exit 290 off route 75 [ north of Gaylord }

Hi all I am new to this site, i have had at one time a 48' which I sold off a few years ago, but I still have my long love project still on the rack ( 1955 1st series 3100 custom cab). I live south and east of Lansing and I also have family land land east of Vanderbilt. I have a long way to go and longer yet since an accident that has kept the health income going, and the future will be the same! I just get to dream and tinker, while on the subject of tinkering I would like to replace the two frame mounted axle to frame bumpers and I am jumping the gun but I would also like to get a outside windshield visor ( one piece glass) so you all from Michigan can you let me know of bone yards near by that I might find these objects.

I keep my '48 Chevy 1/2 ton p.u. in West Branch, where I spend many a weekend and a good part of summer and vacation time. My wife's side of the family is in this area, and we enjoy the great outdoors here. I would enjoy meeting other Stovebolters in the area as well. My home is actually in Alma.

I think oldburbs spends his summers there.

Don't return yet. The only warm months in Michigan are the ones without an R in them. It's still snow season. Mud season still to come.

I live outside Saline, MI. About 10 miles south of Ann Arbor. I'm the caretaker of a 1939 3/4 ton Chevy stake truck that I restored back in 1977. I put 1,000 to 1,500 miles on it every year. Currently I'm restoring a 1929 Ford Model A Tudor.

I am in Hillsdale... approx 1.5 hrs SSW of Lansing. I just acquired a 1955 Panel.

Anyone in MI with body parts, and/or donor vehicles???

I live in Flint and I am working on a 1947 1/2ton for my boys first truck.

I am in Mason, while I don't have the truck (1956 6100 dump truck) yet at my house yet it is good to know there are knowledgeable people close by. We just bought an old farm house with lots of out buildings, to she will be on her way to my house soon, just as soon as I figure out how to transport it.

I am from Brighton and a graduate of Michigan State. The unfortunate lack of employment in the 1970s sent me packing.
