The old 216 fan belt does fit but it does put the alternator right close to the header output. Any suggestions on a proper belt number to use? Thanks guys. We are getting close to install time into 51 Chevy 1 ton. I need to add, that I am using a 5/8 inch balancer, water pump and alternator.

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | wrap a piece of rope around the pulleys. measure the length, go to your local and get a 5/8 belt that's close, if it's too far off they'll exchange it for longer/shorter ... which is about the same as if someone here gives you a number that worked for their slightly different setup
