I just asked about the vent on the differential of my '39 JD. I may be barking up the wrong tree. If oil is migrating from the transmission to the differential via the torque tube, perhaps pressure in the transmission is contributing? Anyone know how the 4 speed transmission is vented? I'm hoping against hope that I can improve the problem without haveing to drop the entire differential/driveline assembly to replace the seal in the torque tube. I'd rather drive it than twist wrenches on it.

Thanks
