I have been working on panels as I have time and used some spray-can primer on several of the pieces to buy me some time. Once I decide on a sealer/primer system, do I need to sand that back down to bar metal or can I scuff and prime over that? I am finished with the body work on the cab and am ready to move forward with the primer/sealer. I'm not looking for a show truck, just simply restoring a '56 task force for a daily driver. However, I do want a decent job for mid-range price (if that's possible). I have an HVLP gun, compressor, and the equipment. I just need opinions for which direction I need to go! Suggestions as far as brand? | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | there's a number of top brands, all good, best thing is to check around the body shops in your area and see what's most common there, and see what your local NAPA carries
