2. About how many amps would a 12v a-hoo-gah horn pull (the horn I have I estimate is about 25 years old).

consider using what you have as a backup. horns back when were not made for high speed vehicles. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 97 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 97 | Thanks Bill and Koolkar. I will definitely get a relay in the near future (I keep blowing the horn fuse). As for horn sound, I'm probably considered a purist on most things regarding my truck, preferring everything to be stock or to look as much like stock as reasonably possible. But people really get a kick out of my ah-hoo-gah horn so I will keep it even though its not the original sound. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 | Your '37 should have had a single horn mounted to the manifold. Single horns didn't usually have a relay. The accessory dual horns did use a relay. I don't remember what size fuse I have for my dual horns, I can go look if you want that info.
