I would be putting it into my 1937. The 46 has the 3:55 gears in it already which is why I would be looking to use. How compatable is the 46 rear end with my 37? I'm not afraid of a little work to get what I want, just want to know what I would be getting myself into.

I asked as if both your 37 and the 46 were 3 speeds because I would have suggested using the 46 trans to prevent U' joint problems if it had been a 3 speed.
