I can do almost anything to a car but electricity is my MAJOR shortfall. Have bought a 3 wire alternator, 2 out of the little plug, and the hot wire, and I'm sure it is an external regulator type(for 54 chevy 3600). Also have alternator voltage regulator(new) which has 4 plugs on it, the previous regulator had 3. There was no indication on or in the regulator box as to which plug was what. They are numbered 1,2,3,4. Is there a paper missing from the regulator box or am I supposed to know which plug is which? I am STUCK.
Thanks
Jim
