My '66 C10 has a complete Stewart Warner gauge cluster installed. They all work except the gas gauge. I cleaned the connections at the sending unit, but it still does not work right. When the key is turned on, the needle goes right to the full mark. When the key is off it reverts back to somehwere in the middle of the scale. When I removed the hot wire from the sending unit, the gauge went to empty. Put it back on and it went to full.

It appears that the original tank sending unit is installed. Is this compatable with the SW gauge?

Help?

thanks,
Steve

No. you need a sending for the Stewart Warner gauge.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
