I have the shocks mounted to the frame and am looking for some information on how to mount the arm to the axle. Is there a bracked that is attached with the U bolts? I have the brackets that are used to attach the tubular shocks from a 1951. Are the lever action shocks attached with the exact same bracket? A different bracket?
Thanks for any advice. | | | | Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 294 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 294 | I believe the lever action used a different bracket. I have a pair if your interested for the front. PM me. | | | | Joined: May 2009 Posts: 97 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: May 2009 Posts: 97 | I'm going to have to agree that I bet it's a different bracket. I don't know for 100% sure but I will take a picture of it after I get off work as mine is still installed on my frame.

I appreciate the help. After looking at Carson's pictures it looks like they are a different bracket. The ones that I have which I believe are for tube shocks have an angle on them whereas the ones for the lever action shocks look like they are flat.
I was asking because when I removed the lever action shocks the bottom bolt was just welded to the axle and there was no bracket. I will look into getting or making a set.
