The e-brake strut lever is missing on both sides. I found new ones for other vehicles but not mine. They do belong in there don't they? How many trucks are the same? The later one should work just fine. You may need to ask for an "equalizer bar", as it is listed that way in some catalogs. Yes, it is needed, the parking brake will not work without it.
