The picture below shows a"rear bumper" I got locally. I have a 49 AD 1/2 ton and when I put the bumper brackets on they are too narrow to be placed in the correct position on the frame. Soo...is the bumper from an carry-all rear? or someother year? OR?? it is a stainless (correction not stainless just good origninal chormed)steel bumper. Any ideas. It is not as wide as the front bumper. THX for your help in identefing this.

Panel-body trucks rear bumpers are/were the same as the front bumpers.

The panel-body rear bumper-brackets were different from the pickup rear bumper-brackets.

I understand at some point in time GMC's had a rounder bumper that would not fit a Chevy... maybe it's one of those?
