I've read somewhere that the T5 might be too light to handle a 292 but I know there are some people using this combo. I'm interested in hearing from some folks that have experience with this. It'll go into a '59 swb for normal driving, no racing. I don't plan to use it for towing but you never know what need might come up. I also have an MY06 that needs some tlc to make it ready. Would it be a better choice for this engine? Any info from those with experience and knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

As long as you don't go doing burnouts or speed shift, it should stand up OK. You dont want to lug it in O-drive. Its better to down shift to direct drive.

Good acceleration, good mid and high speed response and also decent fuel mileage.

How did you get the 3.28 ratio? Was it a rearend swap of a gear change? How hard was it to do???
