here is the adjustment on my carter
...click... I'm new to this so the gauges help me. Many of the more experienced members here can make the adjustment by ear.
your carb adjustment should be similar.
I suggest rebuilding the carb first with a new kit, check your float levels, also set the timing with a timing light.
this will be great practice for after your rebuild.
Drive your truck a bit to check for other issues.
and a shop manual is a must
