For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 27 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 27 | I have a 1966 C10 with a deluxe heater and factory a/c. I just bought a replacement blower motor and I cannot find anyone who sells the rubber connector to the blower motors vent hole. It is my understanding that this connection hooks to the a/c housing to cool the blower motor. Does anyone know where to find one? Thanks! | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 Sir Searchalot | | Sir Searchalot Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 | Don't think they are available. You may get lucky and find one at a dealer. If you post a pic, we can suggest alternate. I am not familiar with that part, but I do know how to find alternatives.

We just installed one on a factory-correct A/C system, in a '66 Chevy C20 Custom Camper. It penetrates the firewall & attaches to the under-dash A/C distribution box.

I bought this vehicle as a basket case and the vent is missing so I don't have an old part to look at. The instructions that came with the blower motor told me to hook up the vent tube to the hole in the motor housing. Unfortunately, I don't have the vent tube even though I think I know where to hook it up on the a/c housing. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 | On non-A/C trucks, there is a cap plug, that covers the hole in the blower motor housing, so the tube is not required. On the A/C trucks, the tube is specified. If it isn't important, to be be factory-correct, use a flexible rubber hose, of the correct diameter, to connect the motor housing to the A/C housing, via the hole in the firewall.
