My casting number is 8994256 which is a 64-77 but I have seen specific years called out on some rebuild kits.
Also, any recommendations on kits? Are any brands better than others? | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | I would be as specific as possible on the year selection only because you want to make sure it's complete as possible. Personally, I use NAPA over mail order.

If you have a Monojet 68 up the number is stamped vertically on the fuel bowl side. A parts nan can get the right kit from this number. The number will start with 7 or 17. Get the kit from Carquest, Napa, or a Delco. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
