I have a 66 3/4 ton 2wd with a SM420. Can anybody tell me what all I will have to do for this to work? The V6 runs but I am tired of gettin 5 mpg running down the highway and I dont want to end up trying to find parts if it breaks down sometime in the future.

You'll need a Chevy bellhousing from a similar year(63-67IIRC), plus some engine frame mounts for the same. With the Chevy small block you should jump up to 9-10mpg.
