Haven't been on here in a while; puter got a virus or something that corrupted the hard drive, back now.

Anyway, haven't done a lot, but thought I'd do an update. I painted it for one; 2 quarts of rustoleum semi gloss black and a couple cans of smoke gray. Blew it on with a $10 touch up gun and very poor prepwork. Looks a lot nicer than I expected; will be easy to touch up areas as I repair them, too.

Rebuilt and installed a correct multi piece delco fuel pump and got rid of the stamped crap that was on there, put a new needle & seat in the carb and fixed the fuel line from pump to carb.

Bought a $130 aluminum radiator from speedway motors and installed it; I have to say it was much better in every way than the more expensive griffin ones. Fantastic welding, oven brazed (no epoxy), thick inlet/outlet. I'll be putting one in any other trucks I get that need a radiator.

Installed new headlights and fixed the park lamp and brake light wiring.

Put a different seat in out of the "submarine" truck.

Put another right side door on.

Got a new set of front springs and wheels from an '83 3/4 ton for $60, installed one spring today, turns out the one that was in there was correct, but broke at the top! No wonder the truck was lopsided. Ball joints still nice and tight after 47 years! (Rivited in from GM.)
I also did a trial fit on one side with the 16x6.5 & 235/85r16 combo and think they look nice.

Turns out it has a 4.57 ring and pinion, not a 5.14; still an open carrier, though.

Got a whopping total of three new pictures up, will try to get some more tomorrow. photobucket album link

Also, my father bought yet another '65; this time a short step C10. I'll try to get a couple pictures of it, too.
