Len:

I just installed the electric wiper motor in my 58 Suburban to replace the factory vacuum wipers.

Unfortunately, I can't remember if I got it from LMC Truck. I live in Kansas City and can easily drive to LMC, Jim Carters and Classic Chevy Truck Parts. I've been shopping at all three. I pickep up the wiper motor about 4 months ago and just can't remember where I got it.

Anyway, all the being said it was the easiest thing I've done on my truck so far. Once I removed the "huge" factory radio to get access to the wipers it was a piece of cake. Old one dropped right out, new one bolted right in. Works like a charm. The kit I bought came with all the required hardware and included a switch. I looked on the LMC website at the part. It looks like what I bought and the price looks right.

I've noticed that you seem to see the same stuff sold at a lot of the parts houses. I would assume that the same kit is sold at all three that I've visited.

Bottom line is I bought something very similar, if not the same, and it was an easy install and works great. I'd feel confident picking up the LMC unit.

Thanks

Len,

1954 GMC or Chevrolet

If Chevrolet, with/without original-style radio/speaker?
