My radio in my '49 1/2 ton was not working so I pulled it out to see if it could be fixed. Inside is a label that says Buick Sonomatic, part number 98075. Well, before I have it fixed back to "original" now I wonder if this is the original radio since it says Buick inside. It does not have BUICK on the pushbuttons like I see on many of the Buick Sonomatics, though, but the buttons could have been replaced.

Does anyone know the "correct" radio for this year truck? A part number or type?

Thanks.

Greg, according to the Master Parts catalog, the part number is 988444. This link will help identify the correct radio.

Thanks... that's looks like the real deal. In the meantime, of course, my friend who tinkers with radios got the Sonomatic working... have to decide whether to put it back in or pursue the correct radio.

In any case... thanks!
