Pardon if this is a silly question but in the attached picture you will see a crossmember that has a home made transmission mount on it. Is this crossmember stock or should I cut it out when I put the new driveline (stock) in? The Truck is a 1955 first series.

Truth be told that crossmember probably isn't really necessary, plenty of stock newer trucks with longer transmissions than that one, with no crossmember supporting them. Just remove that when you make your changes, hope that helps. | | |
