When I purchased the truck it came with hubcaps that cover the full rim. Although the rims have clips for baby moons, the hubcaps I have appear to be "full moons", with no Chevy insignia or other markings. Are these the right ones for the truck? Might they have been an option? Thanks.

I think most of these trucks had 16 inch wheels, what are you running... I dont think they had full wheel covers on them

52's were equipped from the factory with small hubcaps that attached to those clips. 1/2 ton were small overall than 3/4 ton. due to shortage of stainless steel they were made of metal, painted gray with block letter chevrolet stamped in them. lettering was painted black. baby moons, large or small, where not a factory item. i found that steel hubcaps to be one of the hardest to find items and when one is found it is usually rusted through on the portion closest to the ground where rain water had splashed onto continually.

1947-1953 Advance-Design truck years did not have full wheel covers from GM. Stainless steel full wheel covers were available as GM accessories for 54/55-1st series 16" wheels .
