Are all 4 of these the same part? My NAPA guy has ordered for me and he says there may be different left to right or top to bottom cyls. I have all of them off and tried to keep up with where each one came from, but they got mixed up when I was at the parts store. They all 4 looked the same to me. Thanks.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. That's really the only way to tell if they are different. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 603 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 603 | Thanks, I thought of that, Guess I will just have to figure it out as I go when re-installing. As to the bore, they were frozen up with corrosion, I couldnt get into them without destroying everything inside. Thought it best not to, since I may need them for cores.

And if they were different they would have different casting numbers on them, just a thought.

Or the bleeder. They could have different bores. Just guessing, if all the wheel cylinders were the same wouldn't they all have the same casting number on them? I imagine the same casting could have different bores, too. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 603 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 603 | I have only been able to make out the casting number on one of them. Others are rusted away. I have been comparing all 4 of them more, since posting. The line fitting is same on all, but it does look like the bleeder is in the oppisite location on 2 of them. So when re-installing I think I will find it takes one of each # on one side. I do have a manual on the way. Now finding the rubber lines, my NAPA is unable to get them. Cannot wait to get into the rears.....ain't this fun? lol.

These particular wheel cylinders have not been available for a few years through your F.L.A.P.S., there may be a vintage parts supplier that has some of them. As to the hoses the fronts are Napa p/n UP4900 $15.99, the rears are p/n UP4497 $13.49. At RockAuto the hoses are Raybestos front p/n BH4900 $10.22 Can. dollars, rears are p/n BH4497 $8.07 Can. dollars, hope that helps | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 603 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 603 | Thanks a bunch!
