the kit he linked comes with a clevis pin, cotter pin, and new spring.

Careful study, careful preparation, and, of course, first-hand experience are helpful in this and many seemingly simple undertakings. However, a large repetoire of mystical incantations are indispensable (and not found in Shop Manuals).
