Have tried using a soapy solution on the gasket which was of little help. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks. Ken

I was just installing some grommets and a little heat makes a bunch of difference to pliability. I haven't gotten to the headliner yet so no help from a been there done that here.

I remember having a very difficult time getting mine installed too. I used a large screwdriver wrapped in duct tape to persuade it into the slot without scratching paint. I won't have enough time to devote until Friday, but will post my results. My headliner is actually a piece cut from a van ceiling at the scrap yard. I will have to cut back the thickness around the perimeter.
