Ad says "Old GM 6cyl motor $300". There's a couple of good pics. It's not a Chevy. Hey, what's that hangin' off the front there?
Looks like a compressor. Hmmm, don't think many of the little trucks came with air brakes. Seller says he knows nuttin'. Been sitting on the side of the house for years, and the city says "clean it up". "You gotta come look".
It's a two hour drive.
Looks pretty complete, air cleaner to pan, fan to bell housing. Spark plugs don't look bad (five anyway, couldn't reach that one behind the compressor). Turns over by hand using the big fan linked with huge belts.
Nice young man with cherry picker helps me load it.
Cost for 16 gal. of gas.....$60 (Yeah, its CA)
Haggled motor price.........$250
Cool factor of a"302 Jimmy"...Priceless!!

Son of a ...
Gun!

I would have bought that beast if only for the air compressor. I happen to like 302 motors, so I would have eventually found a use for it.

Sounds like you came up with the long end of the stick for a change. Glad to hear that on occasion someone gets lucky.
