I need to replace the speaker in my Chevy Truck Radio (6 Volt) model 985792 (same as 986146).
It is 5' Diameter . The only numbers on the speaker are 45505 (on Coil cover) and 1216013 on the speaker frame.
I need to know what OHM speaker I need to use and if anyone has suggestions as to where I can buy a new speaker. ohwell
Thanks for your help.

I think you would be fine with a new 8 ohm speaker. The new speakers are of the permanent magnet type so you don't need to connect the 6 volt power supply to the speaker. You can probably find an appropriate speaker at this place. Antique Electronic Supply

I've had very good luck with this outfit. It's small and you
will talk with the owner when you call. Tell him what your
application is and I'm sure he will have a speaker that will
work for you.
