ok im going to buy a new gas gauge for my 52. It says it is 12 volt. Im also buying a new sending unit. Do i need to drop the voltage to the sending unit. I know if i use a 6 volt gas gauge i have to put in a reducer.

thanks

Gas tank sending unit only registers resistance, and is 6 and or 12 volt friendly. Make sure all connections are grounded properly, and you will be looking good!!

I'm sure that this is correct, but if anyone else here has any more info please post so we can all learn.
