Sometimes when I make a turn I hear and feel a "KLUNK" from somewhere behind me. It sometimes happens when I'm stopped at a corner and begin to make a turn. It almost feel as if the car behind me has bumped into me. Today I was making a slow turn in traffic and it started going "KLUNK" "KLUNK" "KLUNK". It only happens when I turn left or right and not all the time. Any ideas.

Are your Spring U bolts tight ? It could be your springs jumping around due to loose U Bolts or a broken center bolt in the spring..The center bolt not only keeps the leaves in line but the center bolt head sits in a hole in the top of your axle to keep the axle from moving..

Also, try looking at the steering box bolts that hold the box to the frame, be sure they are tight. Don't forget the one on the inside of the frame.

Have someone move the steering wheel back and forth while you look under the front end. Leave the tires on the ground and look and feel with your hands, you may be able to replicate the noise..

Have you inspected the rear-end gear oil?
I am kinda suspecting that it has some issues withthe side-gears and spider-gears in the differential.(just a possibility)
It would be a good idea to jack the truck up one end at a time. Put it on jack-stands to be safe.
Spin the rear tires and listen to the noises if any. (I had one truck that had cracked the differential side-gears and the axle-shaft splines would occaisionally slip inside the side-gear splines making a loud clunk noise).
shake, pull and wiggle each wheel to see what movement you get at each wheel.
Do the same with the front end. shake the wheel side-to-side, up and down and see what movement/noise you get there.
Also inspect all of the leafsprings really close for cracks or a broken leaf.
