This is so easy. What am I not doing right? I just reconditioned my instrustment cluster replace the
cluster bezel and put new sticker on the guages.
All the guages worked before I cleaned this up.
I had to disconect the speedometer cable as well as all the other guages to reface them and when I put everthing back all functioned correctly except the speedometer cable. I set the speedomter pin in the back of cluster and tightened it up and I have no speedometer movement.
I know the cable is functioning because i could feel it spin in my hand when I drove it before I put it back in for the second time. Any thoughts out there. Thank you

You probably already looked at this, but did you get the cable back into the cluser all the way ? The cable end is "keyed" and fits into the gauge a certain way in order to turn the speedometer assembly. Also, I was wondering where you got your Gauge Kit at and what it looks like when you were done ??

I have a similar problem. Speedometer was screeching so I ordered a new replacement cable. The needle still won't move. I know it's in all the way and even used my drill motor to spin the cable from the trans end. I'm thinking I bought a new cable for nothing!

I got it to work. The problem was the new gauge sticker. When I applied the new gauge sticker it was restricting the needle to move. I had to cut away just a sliver of the sticker and now it works and looks great.
