For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 65 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 65 | Just replaced all channels and rubbers in the door glass. Had to replace the drivers glass and it doesn't work well without me "helping" it go down. About 1/2 way down the glass gets out of level and binds. The passenger side works well, original glass but all new guts. Thanks for any input. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 639 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 639 | I had the same problem when I replaced the channels and rubbers in my '53. I sprayed some spray silicone in the channels and it worked great. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 65 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 65 | Sounds like an easy fix, thanks twotone. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 | As noted silicone spray can help (make sure there's no painting going on anywhere close) but it's possible you have the adjustment of the channels too loose as well.
