The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts King Pin Search

I've recently learned (from matching my old bearings with new) that my 1934 1.5 bolt'r most likely had its front pin's, bearings, seals, maybe spindles replaced at some point in time with incorrect parts from a '35 or other. Smaller king pins almost wrecked the axle holes. Now i'm faced with machining them out but need oversized pins. I feel i've exhausted my searches. I've been looking constantly for about 2 months! Here's the trick - they need to be oversized (0.020"). The only thing out there are 0.921's (supposidly oem), but my shop manual says they're 15/16" (0.9375"), but i put a dial caliper to the situation and i'm going to need 0.950'ish for my machinist to hone. Where do i get them!? HEELLLP!

Another option is replace the worn parts, axle and spindle if necessary, might be best or only option.

Hy spareparts22, welcome, you didn't post the length dimension of your kingpin, but if you're willing to go up to 1.054" in diameter Moog has a few sets at that diameter. prices are from RockAuto

This does not take into account the spindle bushings, but a bit of research should reveal their sizes, hope that helps.
