For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 60 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 60 | A little of a week ago I bought a modified 53, but then the wife and I decided we didn't like it. I contacted a guy who had this 50 for sale on craigslist about 5 1/2 hours away and asked if he would like to trade trucks. So yesterday the wife and I drove 5 1/2 hours up to his place praying the whole time that he would not back out of the deal lol The trade went fine, he was happy and so are we. It does run and drive, but need a floor and two lower quarter patches. Where is the best place to order the floor ant patches. All the Chevy/GM aftermarketers offer replacement panels and since they are mostly all made off sure, it won't matter who you buy from as far as quality goes. They ALL need tweaking. I think Dynacorn are USA made if you can find one of their suppliers.

Well what it was in the pictures was the owner before the guy I got it from had put some type of hard insulation over the floor. I jacked the truck up and there is just a little issue of rust up by the toeboards and will only need a small patch repair. I was very excited about this. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 1,719 back yard wrench turner | | back yard wrench turner Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 1,719 | Nice trade Steve. Chevs of the 40's is near you. I have bought several parts from them. They seem to be good folks. http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/ Wayne1938 1-Ton Farm TruckStovebolt Gallery Forums1989 Silverado 1996 Mustang GT convertible When I die, I hope she doesn't sell everything for what I told her I paid for it! | | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 60 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 60 | Thanks Wayne.
