The wire from the brake light switch should lead into the signalstat, though I couldn't tell you which lead to connect it to without looking at it. The signal switch will turn off the brake light to the side you are signaling with.

Thanks for the link, OldCarKook
I've had a Signal Stat switch for a while now that I've wanted to install. Just didn't want to tackle it without knowing what goes where. It's much smaller and shorter than the one I've been gonna use, At the moment I just have a toggle switch stuck in one of my radio knob holes. You don't have a source for a lense to go in the end of it by any chance?

Left arm straight out = Left turn
Left arm bent at elbow with hand pointing upwards = Right turn
Left arm bent at elbow with hand pointing downwards = slow or stop.

How much simpler can it be ??

cmayna, most people on the highway today probably have no idea what you are talking about and would have even less idea what message you are trying to convey if they saw it. grin

cletis,
You are actually right. One time my wife was driving behind me and afterwards commented on my right hand signal saying that it almost looks like an obsene gesture ? I guess I need to make sure all fingers stay evenly rigid not just the inner ones. Maybe I was approaching a F*** ? wink
