but i have takein the cover off & cleaned it
up. What I usually do if it,s 12 volts is get
an aftermarket horn & mount it down were it
won,t be seen & leave the old one on.

I guess those restoration places only do newer horns. At least "new" compared to ours!
I will use that vernco info and try to fix mine myself.
You would think someone in this country would be restoring old horns. Maybe that is an opportunity for someone.
