I am looking at a pair of Zeniths for purchase. They appear not to have any choke mechanism. Would anyone have parts for this carb available? the dime size tag on top of the carb is listed 8327A/carb kit 20-23. Want to use them on a 57 235 with Tattersfield dual intake.....Any help is greatly appreciated.

| | | | | Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 2,763 Carburetion specialist | | Carburetion specialist Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 2,763 | Since they were designed for a boat (engine either idle or 80~90 percent throttle); they may not have the circuitry for the engine RPM change on a street engine. Without studying the circuitry, I really don't know. Don't remember ever rebuilding one.
Of more concern might be the generation. These are 20 series, which was superceded by the 23 series, which was superceded by the 28 series, which was superceded by the 228 series.
If they are new old stock and cheap (parts are NOT going to be cheap), why give them a try.

OJ at Clarke County Speed says he can get them woking so I will give them a go. If not, I have others to fall back on :-). Do you have any parts for them? Rebuild kits came with them so its a start....Happy holidays!
