The only thing is that's as far as they got. The wires are just hanging under the dash. Does anyone here know where I can get a wiring diagram for one of these? I haven't needed them for the last 8 months, but winters comin'. :confused:
Whoever owned her before must have been a contractor, no offence to anyone. Most of the wiring was done with those twist nuts they use in a house. I'm redoing her a little at a time.

A 1954 accessory installation manual would have instructions for the Chevy 2-speed electric wiper mechanism (that should also work for an aftermarket wiper mechanism). Check the vendor links. A 1954 wiring diagram (booklet) is also available from most vendors.
There are a few places where you can connect a hot lead - at the ignition switch or at the rear of the light switch are two options. Run a hot lead to the wiper's on/off/control switch. A lead should go from the control switch to the wiper. The switch is grounded when attached to the cab. How many leads on your wiper? I do not remember how many leads are on the original accessory wiper (I will check tonight).
I trust others will will correct me and/or add suggestions. Also, I do not know about the need for an in-line fuse.
