So, as some of you might have seen, my water pump pulley parted company with its self. Apparently it was an aftermarket pulley, and the machined hub was furnace brazed.

At any rate, I'm wondering if any of the BC bolters has a spare 216 pump pulley they'd be willing to part with, otherwise, I need to order a new short shaft water pump from one of the USA vendors.

This is a new pump on my 235, and I'd like to not have to buy another pump, as I'm hoping to replace this engine with a mighty 216 in the spring. I'd rather spend the $150 on bearings, but I need to stay on the road as I use my panel truck for work. I've put over 10,000 miles on it in the last year.

The cheap part of me wants to just JB weld the hub I've got back together, but having the fan go through the radiator sounds like it would cost more than a new pump! I've also considered brazing it back together too. But again, that's probably not as good as just replacing the pulley with a good GM one!

Thanks.

Hy Mr. Lang, I probably have one, can you send me the width of groove and diameter measurements, and I'll check.

Okay, the specs of the pulley/fan hub are as follows: (this should be a stock GM 216 part)

3/8" Groove for belt

Outside diameter 4 5/16"

and a 5/8" shaft.

And thanks for taking the time to check for me Bobb!
