For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 25 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 25 | would a 305 bolt onto a powerglide that had a 235 bolted to it? I mean a recent used 305 block from say 75 or later. I know I ask alot of questions, but the options out there are just crazy. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 962 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 962 | Prolly not without an adapter. I think the cast-iron case 'glides would only bolt to the 235/261 bellhousing. And the iron case glide won't stand up behind a V8 anyway. The later aluminum PGs for V8s were much better. If I missed something Im sure somebody will catch it. good luck chip
