I got my exhaust pipe and muffler put on the truck yesterday. This is a single exhaust on a 230 with stock manifold. I was trying find the torque spec for the two bolts that hold the exhaust pipe flange to the manifold. The last thing I want to do is crack or break one of the threaded exhaust holes in the manifold. I have two studs into the exhaust manifold, course thread into the manifold and fine thread for the nuts that secure the pipe flange to the manifold. I have the donut between the two. I tightened them up to less than 10-lbs right now until I find out.

Thanks,

Tom

Not sure of a value but I suggest you use brass nuts. I tighten them until the donut is slightly compressed.

Use the brass nuts, and after tightening the first nut I put another nut on and jam it up againse the first nut.

Thanks guys. I'll replace the nuts with brass.
