Does anyone have a photo of the rear breaks? I think mine might be missing something related to the parking break in the rear break assembly. The cable is attached to the lever and the lever to the break shoe. I don't see how it will apply the breaks and mine does not seem to? A photo would be great or if someone knows if there is a part that fits into the knotch of the lever near the top eccentric bolt?

Thank you. I don't have 5.184 or 5.182. Do you have any info on these parts? What does the arm connect to? The other shoe? I thought there were parts missing. Do you have any dimensions on the arm. I really appriciate the information.

So 5.181 is connected to a pivot at the top to the rear shoe and at the bottom to the parking brake cable. 5.182 is the spreader bar that goes between the shoes. 5.184 is the spring that goes on the pivot end of the bar and 5.158 is the pivot bolt. The pivot bolt has an eccentric that is used to adjust the setup. I think you need to get a used assembly to get all the parts. You could try on the Stovebolt here and also on Ebay.

Thank you for the help. I bought parts to make my own assembly but there is a wrecking yard near me "American Classics" that said they have 6 1/2 tons I can look at.

GW, if you are still looking for those brake parts I may have them left over from a 4.11 to 3.55 conversion on my '36 Chevy pickup. To do that conversion I used both 1937 and a 1951 Chevy car rear ends. Tyhe parts may fit your 1/2 ton. My email is rwaldbaum at aol dot com.
