For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 60 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 60 | My 49 1/2 ton has a 54 engine with 56+ heads and a rochester carb. Does anyone know anything about this combo and is there somewhere to go to read about the rochester? Thanks!!!

It has the truth about the model B- Doug Roe was a engineer for Rochester. also on the Inliners International website under tech tips (or something like that) they have some good info on modifying them for dual carb usage. All Rochesters are good carbs, dont be bluffed by what you hear. My family had a '54 chevy w/ a 235 std shift and for at least 85,000 miles we never touched the carb. As far as I can remember it was original when we sold it in 1962. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | | | |
