51 chevy 3100, had original gages converted to 12 volt, new original fuel tank, all new wireing ron francis,new original sending unit chevy duty, problem ,gage stays on empty,when you turn on ignition switch needle moves about32/of an inch.checked everything, sender checks out at o to 30 ohms. gage is ok, wireing to tank,ok, tank and sender grounded, im baffled. Wayne ,old navy 51 new jersey.........................

Hate to say but it's probably poor grounding somewhere. I went through this (even bought a new gauge) only to find out poor grounding / connections.

did you add the voltage reducer for your fuel gauge I think thats what it is called could be resistor
