Its pretty solid with the exception of the the lower right cab corner and drivers side floor board. Looks like the original motor and owner says he thinks mileage is correct at 53502 miles. Tires, wheels and frame look real good as does all glass except passenger side door. Its been sitting several years but motor turns over and was running when last parked... Its painted in military od green, inside and out and was an old army truck on the military base here... The owner is asking $400.00. Anybody wanna weigh in on this being a fair deal or not ?

Should be a GMC 400, 450, or 470 series. May have series designation emblems on the hood. Being Military, no telling what it might be. Being a '51 model, should have a 270ci. six banger. On the tag in the door it denotes ra, meaning regular army I'm told. It has many original markings on it and it is very original except for the seats. I'm debating on keeping it all original, going back with new od green paint or going different on all together. Army Trucks don't hold any special value, except to the small minority that collect them. The good thing about yours is it looks like a civilian Production truck, & not your typical Army truck. I would keep it stock, & not worry about the Military part of it's History. I'd make a nice original civilian truck out of it. Being a "400" series(400, 450, or 470)truck is signifcant in it's self. Most of these trucks are 300 series 1 1/2 ton, or 350 series 2 ton trucks. The "400" series Family consist of the 400 series 2 1/2 tons, the 450 series 3 tons, & the 470 series 3 1/2 tons.
