I was wondering how far open should the choke valve be in normal operation? It is a manual choke and i don't remember how it was set up. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 135 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 135 | Normal operation, engine hot, the choke plate should be open, the choke butterfly should be vertical. Most chevy sixes will need some choke to start when the engine is cold, even in warm weather
